MY NEXT CLASS SESSION IS PROBABLY SOMETIME IN JUNE, 2020
Want to learn how to tie flies or just get better? Whether you are a beginner or novice, I'm teaching fly-tying classes out at Grand Oaks Resort on a quarterly basis. The class is a 6 week session. You will learn the basics and then various patterns to help you catch a variety of fresh and saltwater fish.
Depending on the sessions, you will tie flies for all species of saltwater fish as well as trout, bass, bluegill and carp flies.

I am interested in buying some old bamboo fly rods in any condition, even broken pieces for parts and other projects. Would I be able to ask our club members about this on the club website? I have restored some of these rods to use as decorative pieces. Thanks for your time on this in advance. Michael Mellesh.
"As we discussed today, I have a bamboo fly rod for sale. I purchased new when I was a teenager. It was used about ten times and then put in its case and stored.
I searched the web and found a site (email@example.com) and saw the same rod at $360. I am willing to take half that ($180)."

I had a call from a gal in Lady Lake who breeds peacocks and has feathers for sale. I actually purchased some from her and they were in great shape. The herls are great for toppings on streamers, fresh & saltwater, and of course make great bodies on nymphs such as the Prince Nymph.
From Gina: My feathers are from this year. When the birds naturally lost their feathers at molting time, I picked up the ones that looked decent. As for price, depends on how many you are looking for. For example, if you wanted to purchase between 1 and 30 feathers, I charge .50 cents a piece. Anything over 30 feathers the price begins to go down a bit.
