Welcome to the Tri-County Fly Fishers Club Website.
Tri-County Fly Fishers Club is a not for profit Club whose members have a true love for fly-fishing. We welcome anyone who wants to learn how to fly fish and gain experience in the art of fly tying; and become an active member of the fly-fishing Club.
This Club is made up of about eighty members from beginners to those with 50+ years of fly-fishing and tying experi-ence. Fishing interests range from bluegills and bass to redfish and tarpon, with an occasional rainbow or brown trout from up north or out west thrown in. Today, membership is drawn from permanent and seasonal residents of those in and around the Florida counties of Lake, Sumter and Marion.

New Home for Tri-County Fly Fishers Beginning February 19, 2020

We have some exciting news! Grand Oaks Resort is now the Home of Tri-County Fly Fishers. Because of our unique relationship with Grand Oaks Resort, our Board of Directors and Grand Oaks Resort management have a reached an agreement to provide the Club the use of their meeting rooms and facilities for all of our business and breakfast meetings, evening meetings and presentations, our monthly fly tying sessions, and other events as identified. We believe this will be a mutually beneficial arrangement for both the Club and Grand Oaks Resort.

The monthly Business and Breakfast Meetings will continue to be the 1st Wednesday of each month (except June, July and August). The Board meeting will begin at 8:00 AM in the Bridge Room. The breakfast portion of the meeting will be held simultaneously in the Bistro where you can order from their menu between 7:30 AM and 9:00AM, at member’s expense. Value should be comparable to our last arrangement. Please assemble in the Bridge Room by 9:15 AM for the business meeting. After the meeting, you can fish in the ponds or practice your casting out on the lawn.

Evening presentations will continue to be the 3rd Wednesday of each month (except June, July and August). Fly tying demonstrations and casting will begin at 5:00 PM and presentations will begin at 7:00 PM in the Bridge Room. The Bistro will be open for dinner at members expense before the meeting, if you so desire.

Fly Tying Sessions will be the 1st Tuesday of each month from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and will be held in the Bridge Room.

Friday Fishing and Casting on the Grand Oaks lakes will continue year around followed by an optional breakfast in the Bistro.

Other events will be held at Grand Oaks Resort whenever needed.

As always, when you are on the Grand Oaks property, please be respectful and park in the designated parking areas. Make sure to wear your current name tag for identification. If you have any questions, please contact Bob Heinbach.
